Staying on top of the Real Living Wage – another way we give back to staff

Stiltz Homelifts is one of the 14,000 employers that are already paying the Real Living Wage.

To keep up with the continued rising cost of living, many employers are opting to use the voluntary Real Living Wage as opposed to the government-set minimum wage. The scheme was established by the Living Wage Foundation with the goal of paying staff at a rate so everyday costs such as going out, buying school uniforms, or affording to fix broken appliances can be covered without the need for sacrificing necessities as is, unfortunately, the case for many households. Set to officially kick off from the 1st of May 2024, pay will increase to £12 across the country.

We appreciate the hard work our employees put into performing their roles and carrying out duties safely, honestly and to the best of their abilities. We want to continue to motivate our staff and make them feel appreciated but also secure working for Stiltz Homelifts which is why we are implementing the Real Living Wage in advance of the statutory requirement start date of 1st of November 2023.

This is just one of the benefits we offer to staff alongside a 6 x salary life assurance for everyone and a Cashback Health Scheme which helps with basics such as optical and dental care as well as physio and other complementary treatments.

Back in 2021, we first gained Living Wage accreditation. This was a crucial step to take as Stiltz Homelifts was starting to gain traction and be recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the West Midlands area. The business has only continued to thrive as we have taken on more staff which is why we feel it is more important than ever to stay ahead of other employers and ensure our policies and actions continue to reflect our employee-centric culture.
