This year marks the 75th anniversary of World Health Day, established to raise awareness of, and foster support for, better health globally.
This year’s theme ‘My Health, My Right’ aims to promote meaningful change. Giving opportunity for everyone, everywhere, to have access to better health. This comes in many forms including the right to quality education, housing, cleaner air and fresh water.
The findings of a 2021 study conducted by the World Health Organisation (WHO) Council on Economics of Health for All, found that more than half of the world’s population, 4.5 billion people, were not fully covered by essential health services.
Stiltz and Sponsorships
As an advocate for change, Stiltz is committed to altering this statistic by helping those less fortunate.
One of the ways we do this is through sponsorships such as AquAid and The African Trust which build sustainable solutions for safer necessities, such as The Elephant Water Pump and The Elephant Toilet. To date, over 8,000 pumps have been installed across Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Uganda and Zimbabwe. We continue this support today by providing every UK office with AquAid water cooler dispensers which helps to fund similar projects.
From litter picks to growing a mo-ustache or mo-ving for Movember, we are proud to have such a passionate team at Stiltz eager to take part in sponsorships to raise funds for great causes whether individual efforts or team fundraisers. You can learn more about what we got up to last year here.
